Yes, I finally got around to fixing all of the new button option images for this forum version. Also, as a side note, the Birthday Icon has been updated.

So, I've been racking my brain on trying to figure out how a guest is still viewing the forums even though I have "Force Guests To Register" set to "yes". Well, it ends up that if you click on the guest in the info box at the bottom of the homepage, it tells you that it's a GoogleBot. It won't give you an IP(which pisses me off), but even if it did, I bet it would mask itself every time. It's really nothing to worry about, but I just thought it should be made known...

I wish we had more members to input some ideas. I want something new and fresh. Well, I'll keep thinking....if you guys come up with anything let me know. Thanks

It won't give you an IP(which pisses me off), but even if it did, I bet it would mask itself every time. It's really nothing to worry about, but I just thought it should be made known... Googlebot: Google's Web Crawler Googlebot is Google's web-crawling robot. It collects documents from the web to build a searchable index for the Google search engine. Remove your entire website If you wish to exclude your entire website from Google's index, you can place a file at the root of your server called robots.txt. This is the standard protocol that most web crawlers observe for excluding a web server or directory from an index. More information on robots.txt is available here: www.robotstxt.org/wc/norobots.html. Please note that Googlebot does not interpret a 401/403 response ("Unauthorized"/"Forbidden") to a robots.txt fetch as a request not to crawl any pages on the site. To remove your site from search engines and prevent all robots from crawling it in the future, place the following robots.txt file in your server root: User-agent: * Disallow: / To remove your site from Google only and prevent just Googlebot from crawling your site in the future, place the following robots.txt file in your server root: User-agent: Googlebot Disallow: / Each port must have its own robots.txt file. In particular, if you serve content via both http and https, you'll need a separate robots.txt file for each of these protocols. For example, to allow Googlebot to index all http pages but no https pages, you'd use the robots.txt files below. For your http protocol (http://yourserver.com/robots.txt): User-agent: * Allow: / For the https protocol (https://yourserver.com/robots.txt): User-agent: * Disallow: / Note: If you believe your request is urgent and cannot wait until the next time Google crawls your site, use our automatic URL removal system. In order for this automated process to work, the webmaster must first create and place a robots.txt file on the site in question. Google will continue to exclude your site or directories from successive crawls if the robots.txt file exists in the web server root. If you do not have access to the root level of your server, you may place a robots.txt file at the same level as the files you want to remove. Doing this and submitting via the automatic URL removal system will cause a temporary, 180 day removal of your site from the Google index, regardless of whether you remove the robots.txt file after processing your request. (Keeping the robots.txt file at the same level would require you to return to the URL removal system every 180 days to reissue the removal.)

Why don't we do a "Critic's Corner" type of thing? Each movie can have it's own thread with three votes to choose from(good, bad, and mediocre) then your post could be the review. We could move all of the film stuff from the two boards and and start from that point...

Hey, I think that would be a pretty good idea, but that's just my opinion. I'm a big fan of organization and things like that, so that also helps me agree with the idea.

I'm guessing that ProBoards changed the code for GoogleBots as they no longer show up as guests. All you see now is the number viewing a certain category.

Am I the only one having difficulty displaying the images on the forums through Internet Explorer? If I run with Firefox, everything shows up. I'm not entirely sure what the deal is here and I'd love some feedback.

Woah.. Thats messed up... I never use IE so i didnt notice... Just opened it up to see what you meant and youre right... Stuff isnt showing up... Your signature and avatar show.. But the forum buttons don't...
HmmmmmmMMMmm... Maybe something with the different comcast accounts... I dont see why that would really matter though... Other than that.. Maybe theres a proboards update that messed with IE compatibility?

Craig Suffolk over at the ProBoards support forum seems to think that it is Comcast, so I guess Ima have to call 'em. It's just sooo strange that files on my storage through seconday Comcast email addresses still show up. Oh well- hopefully you guys won't have to endure this too much longer...

I called Comcast, they told me to tell everyone I know to switch to Firefox- what great tech support. Anyway, I figured I'd try to re-upload an image or two to see if it did anything and POOF- now I can see it all in IE! Lemme know how it's working for all of you.
