Also is it supposed to be Part II Gracia The 2ND Throne? I hope so since it was the only one available to me.

Okay, so I'm going to dive in. Just what I needed, another game to eat up the NEXT 2 years of my life. Oh, wait, Guild Wars 2 was going to do that anyway.

WTF?!? File l2.exe detected as a Trojan? That's not cool.

yeah, some antivirus programs like avg report a false positive for that file, because its an exe that gets changed as you update. if you downloaded it from the recommended channels, it should be cool.

I still recommend the PlayNC launcher for install. You get all files from the publisher themselves. After install though, make sure you launch the game using the l2.exe and turn off automatic updates in the PlayNC launcher.

Depending on your antivirus, it'll keep showing up as a virus no matter what. the two sites on lineage2 (i think fileplanet and gamershell) are both ligit file sites, so they should be safe i got the same message as you (i use avg) and i'm not being haxxored or anything. if you check some lineage 2 sites you'll see its a common problem.
a little more info on it...
Lineage 2 uses something called Themida on the l2.exe file. basically its a protection system where the l2.exe has .dll files imbedded into it and will become an invisible process when run, so that bot and hacking programs don't have anything to hook onto. But alot of antivirus programs don't like this.
and what a game dev has to say about it
"NCsoft has been in contact with McAfee and other anti-virus software companies that are detecting L2.exe as a virus. We are currently working with them for a solution, but in the interim it is suggested that add an exception for L2.
Due the the variety of anti-virus programs, we can't give step by step instructions on how to add exceptions for L2. Please refer to your specific anti-virus company website for details on how to do this. When we receive an update from McAfee we will let everyone know.
Thanks"

Every once in a while I run across a good timberland boots article... so I decided that, since 'Abbys Good Stuff' was using so little of the discount timberland boots web space that I already paid for, that I'd use up some of that space and grab some of the best cheap timberland boots articles I read and reprint them here. This is a new thing, but it will grow. The timberland mens boots articles and editorials I choose will be on a wide variety of subjects - the only thing they will have in common is that I liked them when I read womens timberland boots them and somehow got permission to reprint them here to share with you. I'll try to add at least one new one every week, and of course you can send a timberland outlet suggestion if you have, or know of, a good article that I could add.
