From gonintendo.com:
Enix has always stated that the DQ franchise will migrate to the most popular franchise at the time, so it seems Wii must be the biggest in Japan right now...

Been a long time since I played a DQ. This could be sweet on the Wii.

ya know... i've never been one for the DQ series... the new one coming for the ds looks cool, cause anything with character customisation i'm all for. but i dunno... something about the series that just didn't get me into it...

I'll agree with you on the customization- I love visible weapon changes, but complete visible equipment change is even better. DQ9 on the DS will be a definite pick-up for me, and if it goes well, DQX probably will as well. DQ8 on the PS2 passed me by, though- I played the demo and HATED IT. Too bad I was told that the demo was COMPLETELY not indicative of the final product...

I played the demo and HATED IT. Too bad I was told that the demo was COMPLETELY not indicative of the final product... Well, that's their fault. Not yours. So don't feel bad. (lol) I played DQ1. Can't beat random encounters and a deep... well... a story at least. heh. And it was like the first introduction to grinding. well, only slightly. Good fun though, with plenty to do. Not bad for the NES! Anyhow, 2 and 3 were supposed to be just about the same, 4 they added three party members that followed you around on the map. Then I lost track after that. (lol) Once they hit the PSO I was already in to the new generation of stuff. So I didn't pay much heed. Sounds like a fun adventure for the DS. Even though I'll probably feel more inclined to dedicate some time to it, instead of just a portable that I can play on and off. So, I'll probably just wait for the Wii version. Unless I see some raving reviews from you guys.

All I can tell from what people have been saying is that is going to be good. So I will just have to wait for updates to find out if ill like it or not.
