I suggest that we schedule (on the calendar) a day that everone who can do Vanquishing gets together and does one of these.

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Happy Happy Happy with this topic and DeFiler's suggestion! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Chasing the titles in Hard-mode is only part of the reason I'm so excited about planning our ventures. You guys will be pleasantly surprised at how fast you rack up EXP and gold. I'm saving for another armor-set, so gold is good.
I've vanquished the whole "starter" Island in Nightfall... ...plus Gandara, the Moon Fortress and Marga Coast. (I even managed to do some hard-mode missions)
Estimated time needed to vanquish a zone? Figure 1 hour per 100 kills. With Guild-mates, I believe we could improve this drastically.
Anyway, I'm able to play most evenings and can usually pull an all-nighter on Saturdays.
btw, I'm ready to vanquish all 3 campaigns

Here's an area EVERYONE can ease into vanquishing- Gandara, The Moon Fortress. The Wiki claims anywhere from 64-124 enemies(all Heket, Kuskale, and 4 Kournans), but if you do the mission 'A Thorn In Varesh's Side' beforehand, you will be almost guaranteed to be at the extreme lower end of the count. Sorry for stealin' yer table, but here goes: Vanquished Zone | Party | Time | Kills | Bonus Reward | $Loot$ | Drops | $Sales$ | $Total$ | Gandara, The Moon Fortress | 8 | 0:23 | 67 | 325XP; 325G | 419 | 0g;0p;3b | 20g(others salvaged) | 439g |
The best part is, you only have to cover the whole northern piece of the area and the groups are small. Here's the coverage area: Here's my party: - General Morgahn- Stoneflesh Angelic Bond build
- Olias- Multi-Campaign Minion Master build
- Razah- Offering of Spirit/Splinter Weapon build
- Gehraz
- Cynn
- 2 Healers

I was happy to see five players out of a possible eight-man party show up for Double Vanquishing rewards on Friday night. I still can't believe we got through two areas in under 3 1/2 hours! That was even with some of us playing our secondary professions as our primaries- that's when you know you're teamed up with some damned good players. I had a fantastic time, got something accomplished, and made 10k in the process- here's the breakdown: Arkjok Ward- 1:45 Dejarin Estate- 1:15 - W/E- Lyfeliek Heroblade(playing primary fire ele)
- W/Mo- Suzuki Dragonblade
- W/Mo- Vyyk Knight
- A/R- Kunoichi Kage(playing primary barrage ranger)
- W/Mo- DeFiler
- Dunkoro
- Tahlkora
- Razah
We used an average of 2.5 sets of consumables(each consisting of 3 items) and just rampaged through each. Hope to vanq with you guys again soon!

Thats fine- I just really have caught the vanquishing bug as of late. Actually, I'm not sure that it's that so much as it is the fact that it seems to be forever since I've maxed a title. I think I've done all of the so-called "easy" ones, so now the ones remaining are gonna be a bitch methinks...

Suzuki Dragonblade, Olias, Livia and Norgu are proud to announce their triumphant vanquishing of the Eastern Frontier in Prophecies. We started by heading south until Olias had 10 minions; then backtracked north (s-l-o-w-l-y to keep minions alive) to face the Grawl. Norgu was the key with BACKFIRE. The minions and Suzuki were able to keep those nasty bastards from getting to the casters. Using the terrain actually turned out to be our saving grace. (The minions will die... run around and find some Charr to replenish the troops... then go right back to the Grawl.) This zone has been haunting me for quite some time... tonight, I'll sleep like a drunken dwarf.

Raisu Palace is another one of those zones that intimidates even some of the most seasoned veterans. After doing some missions (even in normal mode) we automatically start anticipating the explorable zones will be just as hard; if not harder to vanquish. I'm just spitballing here... but I'm beginning to believe that the "AI" in both cases are completely unrelated... 'specially in Cantha, since during missions, everything is "on the clock"... yet, while VanQ'n, the mobs are just kinda chilling in their little areas; so careful pulling and clever use of the available terrain is what gives the patient vanquisher a huge advantage. Random spawning makes some difference I suppose, but I think the largest factor is the PATROLS that spawn too! I'm finding that the patrols are almost always in the same spots, following a set pattern, however, one time you might find 2 warriors, 1 assassin and 1 monk... and the next time you could run into 2 monks, 1 elementalist and 2 rangers. Keeps it fresh and challenging I guess, but I think I'm on to the little ins and outs of how the "AI" changes between missions and explorable situations. In the map above, I started from the Imperial Sanctum and cleared the south edges first, steadily heading west towards the Palace... Notice the path where the "R" is, in Raisu... there is an orb there, which you can walk past and head to the NW areas and then proceed along the northern edges and work your way back to where you started... By the way, Raisu Palace has nothing but Shiro'ken and they drop a pretty nice amount of 'soul stones'.... which salvage into granite..... HINT, HINT
